What it is:
16 ounce reusable plastic water bottles, package of 6.
Why you need it:
Many plastic water bottles are made of materials such as polycarbonate, which can leach BPA, a potentially harmful synthetic hormone. Choosing a plastic bottle labeled “BPA free” is not enough, as other harmful chemicals are often present in the plastic.
Stainless steel water bottles can contain nickel, lead, chromium, and manganese. Aluminum water bottles require an inner coating of lacquer that can contain BPA and other chemicals. These bottles are energy intensive to manufacture and ship, and they’re not recyclable.
Many water bottles come with spouts or sippy lids composed of poor quality plastic.
How you use it:
Onespot™Allergy water bottles fit in standard cup holders and bicycle bottle holders. Drink from the push/pull lid, or remove the cap to drink from the narrow mouth neck. These bottles withstand freezing, so you can keep your drink cool by freezing an inch of water or juice in the bottle prior to filling it (keep the cap off in the freezer).
Why ours is best:
Onespot Allergy water bottles are affordable, so every member of the family can have at least one. They’re durable, reusable, and recyclable. They won’t leak, and have a wide stable shape to keep them from tipping over.
Our water bottles are made from HDPE, a food grade BPA free code 2 plastic. Scientists and health advocates consistently report no known problems with HDPE plastic. Our water bottles have code 5 polypropylene caps to ensure that every part of our water bottle is non-toxic.
When we looked into branding our bottles, we were shocked to learn that the silkscreen inks commonly used are highly irritating, toxic, or carcinogenic. This was simply not acceptable to us, so we developed Onespot Allergy labels to brand our products, which are food grade quality. In our opinion, these are the safest plastic water bottles available.
