What it is:
100% pure beeswax votives. Ivory colour.
The votives have a plant fiber wick. They provide a hot and even flame, extending the burn time by allowing the candle to burn out to the side rather than down through its core.
Each pack contains three votives, each with a burn time of 15 – 20 hours.
Why you need it:
Most candles contain some percentage of paraffin wax, a petroleum bi-product that requires other chemicals to harden, colour, and scent it. Irritating chemicals and toxins are released as you burn them, such as benzene, acrolyn, lead, and stearic acid. The wicks often have a lead core.
Even candles made from vegetable based materials like soy contain synthetic colour and fragrances and have a much less spectacular burn.
How you use it:
Wicks should be maintained at ¼ inch for maximum burn time. All candles fit in standard size holders.
