What it is:
This belt is by far my favorite item and my best selling product. It's simply the most discreet and comfortable way to wear one to four EpiPens. These belts fit the newly designed EpiPen or any other injector and can be ordered with one or two slide-on extra pockets to hold asthma inhalers or puffers, Benadryl, cell phones, or other personal items. The slide-on pouch can also be used separately to slide onto a regular belt or like a holster, by attaching a hook and hanging it on a belt loop or bag. (VIDEO BELOW).
Why you need it:
People with severe allergies should wear an EpiPen whenever they are away from home, whether their allergy is to bee and wasp stings, medication, latex, or food. An EpiPen is the preferred treatment for a severe allergic reaction, and having access to it within five minutes of the start of a severe reaction saves lives. Wearing an EpiPen is the best way to ensure immediate access to medication.
How you use it:
The EpiPen is inserted within its clear plastic tube into the fabric pouch and the pouch is zipped closed. A puffer and Benadryl or other medication can be placed in the same pouch, or you can purchase a second pouch for them. The EpiPen is worn at all times when away from home. Why ours is best:
This is not a fanny pack: The pouch is only about one inch wide when empty, and it's stretchy, so it expands to accommodate 1 or more EpiPens with no extra bulky fabric. The pouch is sewn onto the waist band, so it won't roll forward or sag. The fabric is silky, so the belt can be worn under a t-shirt, and the shirt will not cling to it.
The belts are hand made in the United States. The pouch is spandex/nylon, the waist band is durable elastic, and the zipper and clasps are very durable.* We prefer these over KoziEpi EpiPen holders which are not sewn onto the belt, causing them to sag forward. We also prefer these over the new e-belt, which is extremely bulky and will only hold Epipens and nothing else.
The belts are generally one size fits all. The waist band adjusts to fit children to adults size 36 (it adjusts from 24 inches to 40 inches).** They're machine washable in cold water, hang to dry.
* This product is NOT latex free.
